Do you remember the old saw about how computers would change our lives for the better? Wed have more time to ourselves and lead healthier, happier lives. The truth is computers do make processing information lightening fast. Its just that today, we have so much more information to process and so many more distractions that the computer, via the Internet, has brought into our lives.

The New England Patriots continue to lose players on defense, most recently safety Rodney Harrison yesterday versus the Pittsburgh Steelers. But, true to form, kicker Adam Vinateri makes thye big kick (again) with the game on the line. Yes indeed, despite losing key players and both coordinators, Bill Bellichick still puts the pieces together and the Champs keep on going.

Televised sporting events have been common place for sports such as baseball, basketball, and football. However, other lesser known competitive sports are making their mark on cable television. Cable television networks such as the OLN are a welcome sight for passionate kayakers. OLN was proud to broadcast the Teva Mountain Games this past June. Kayakers, bikers, and rafters were among many adventure athletes that were showcased.

It seems that qualifying for the World Cup in South America has become very difficult. For Colombia in the last two editions far from that magnificent campaign made by the Cafeteros in the 94 edition in USA and the 98 edition in France, Colombia did not qualify for the for Germany 2006.
